Our beans are home roasted in small one pound batches to ensure the utmost attention is given to the roasting process. This meticulous process is what makes our roasts exceptionally smooth and rich in flavor.

Once the desired roast degree is achieved and allowed to cool, our fresh beans are taken straight from the roaster, packaged, labeled, and individually numbered by hand.

Our roast expert carefully sources our green coffee beans based upon their origin and inherit taste which are then promptly delivered fresh from the roaster. Unlike months old store bought coffee, our releases are made available for purchase only days after roasting and shipped in a timely manner. This ensures you receive the absolute freshest coffee possible.

We are passionate gamers and equal parts coffee fanatics. Our name is derived from a popular video game mode. This mode typically challenges players to complete the game with a single character life. Should you expire, you must completely start over from the beginning. In the same vein, our roasts are only given one life. Once sold, they are no longer offered and succumb to permadeath.
